Cyberspace Range Subject Matter Expert LOCATION: Lackland AFB, TX JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: TS/SCI CERTIFICATION: See below TRAVEL: <10% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Cyberspace Range SME located at the Lackland, AFB in San Antonio, TX. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must be recognized within the community of interest as a subject matter expert in the use of cyberspace ranges in test and evaluation processes and events (attainment of a SME level for this position typically requires at least a Bachelor's Degree in System Networking and Administration as well as 25+ years of technical, management, and leadership experience.)
- Must be employed under the current TMAS 2 contract.
- U.S. Citizen
- TS/SCI security clearance
- Certifications: Security + CE, COMPTIA Linux+, CCNA-Cyber Ops, Digium Certified Asterisk Administrator (dCAA), and VMware Certified Associate 6 - Data Center Virtualization
- Proficient with testing approaches, test management tools, and best practices.
- Strong grasp of testing processes, test automation, and software.
- Solid foundation in the Software Development Life Cycle and standard assurance practices.
- Experience in Agile/SAFE, Testing process and tools, Project Planning, Project forecast, Estimations, Functional Testing, Automation Testing, and API Testing.
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent listening and public speaking skills.
- Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Knowledgeable in various Software Development Lifecycles and Cyberspace Test Range Operations.
- Working knowledge of the following: Linux, Windows, VMware, OSI Model, Network traffic collection and analysis, enterprise network architecture, communication equipment and technologies, routers, mail and web servers, Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems, firewalls, anti-virus tools, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, and network traffic generation.
- Experience in resource management, resource planning, estimation, and project tracking.
- Experience in estimation, budgeting, program management, reporting, stakeholder management, and escalation management.
- Understanding of AFIN & DODIN architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a team of cyberspace test range engineers and manage a multimillion-dollar facility.
- Direct development of plans to support the execution of cyberspace test range activities.
- Ensure adherence to cyberspace test range protocols through all steps of cyberspace test range utilization.
- Identify possible manning and resource shortfalls and report to the Squadron Commander, Flight Director and Squadron Director of Operations.
- Responsible for ensv, and standards for cyberspace operations.
- Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of cyberspace test range activities and status.
- Responsible for risk assessment.
- Setting goals, providing support, and offering strategies to help the team work together.
- Maintains communication channels with all parties/stakeholders involved and provides regular updates on the progress of the cyberspace test range activities and the occurrence of any problems.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as project managers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure that cyberspace test range actives align with DOW, Department of the Air Force, United States Air Force, Major Command, Wing, Group and Squadron guidance.
- Regularly interacts with senior management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
- Ensure all cyberspace test range activities are completed on time and within budget.
