Position Title: CNC Set-Up Technician
Wage: $26.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great CNC Set-Up Technician position available at a company in Fenton, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. CNC Set-Up Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills - Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations. - Select, position, and secure tool in tool holder. - Position and secure work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures. - Move controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut. - Set up fixture, starts machine. - Read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers. - Observe operation of machine and verify conformity of machined work piece to specifications. - Keep work area clean and orderly - Follow all Company rules and safety policies. - Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems. CNC Set-Up Technician Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - 1+ years of previous CNC experience preferred. - Ability to add and subtract/basic math. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Good hand-eye coordination. - Ability to lift up to 25lb. - Ability to stand 90% of shift. bridgeton@qpsemployment.com About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
