Position Title: Assistant Machine Operator
Wage: $17/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-2pm Looking for reliable, safety-minded, and quality-focused candidates to keep machines running smoothly, support operators efficiently, and ensure products meet customer standards. Don't miss this associate to hire opportunity for an Assistant Machine Operator for a company in Fort Atkinson, WI. Assistant Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow all safety policies and procedures; learn and perform start up and shut down procedures, ergonomic practices, E-stops, Lock Out Tagout procedures - Read, understand, and follow electronic/written shop orders - Perform Standard Work by following Work/Operator Instructions/Training - Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor - Meet or exceed department's production efficiency goals - Understand and practice 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) - Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with some supervision - Complete quality inspections utilizing blueprints and precision measuring devices - Complete all required records documentation - Support and participate in assignments in other work areas, as workload demands change - Participate in continuous improvement activities - Report maintenance issues to department supervisor - Use ERP system to join and leave a work center as a team member or operator, start/stop shop orders, and report quantities of acceptable and scrap product - Adhere to scheduled work hours and be available to work overtime as needed - Always behave in a safe manner Assistant Machine Operator Requirements: - Able to stand for duration of shift (8-10 hour days) - Able to reach, bend, twist, and pull parts as needed - Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift 50 pounds - Strong team player, proven ability to work effectively with others at all levels - Reliable, good attendance - Knowledge of customer standards and understanding of specific work instructions QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
