Overview

Waters Corporation is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Event Operations Manager to help shape and execute the operational framework for our global events portfolio. This role will be a cornerstone within the evolving Global Customer Engagement & Events function, supporting scalable processes, standards, and tools that ensure operational excellence across Waters' tradeshows and internal events.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience managing logistics and execution for large, complex programs, with strong project management expertise and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through detailed planning and delivery. This individual will manage a defined portfolio of events while partnering across the events function to establish best practices, consistency, and efficiency in execution.

This role is hybris based out of Milford, MA 3 days week (Tuesday to Thursday)



Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership & Best Practices
  • Partner with the Head of Customer Engagement & Events to design and document scalable processes, tools, and standards that drive consistency and operational excellence across the global events portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline event delivery and improve operational efficiency across global programs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of event resources, ensuring regional teams can execute with quality and consistency.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and promoting collaboration and transparency across the global events team.
  1. Event Management & Operations
  • Lead the project management, planning, and execution of a defined portfolio of tradeshows and internal events, overseeing pre-event planning including venue coordination, shipping, show services, and on-site operations.
  • Act as the primary operational point of contact, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Product to deliver events that meet business objectives and uphold Waters' brand standards.
  • Lead on-site operations for high profile programs, ensuring seamless delivery and best in class attendee experience.
  1. Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Manage procurement activities for the assigned event portfolio, including purchase requests, purchase orders, and vendor coordination within internal systems.
  • Partner with finance to track forecasts, spending, and reconciliations, ensuring fiscal accuracy and compliance for each event.
  • Source and manage vendors for services such as booth builds, AV, shipping, and collateral production, including oversight of warehousing and inventory to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and brand consistency.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in event operations within B2B, technology, or life sciences sectors.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience implementing scalable tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute large-scale events with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience at an events management or production company delivering large-scale conferences or tradeshows is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheets, Ariba, Cvent, Captello, or On24 is also a plus.
