The successful candidate:

***Shift: Mon-Fri-- Must be available to work both opening and closing shifts depending on business needs: 6:30am-3:00pm or 10:30am-7pm. Must be available on weekends and holidays if needed.***

The Steward is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing items such as dishes, glasses and utensils and performing tasks that contribute to a sanitary environment for patients, caregivers, and staff while maintaining compliance with the Organization's and Health Department standards.

The Steward, with the support of all Culinary staff, takes pride in being the pillar of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation and ensures cafe, cooking area and cook line are well stocked with needed items so the network within the department may continue to run smoothly. Follows all ServSafe Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines. Complete other daily tasks or positions that may be asked to ensure smooth operation of department.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred

License/ Certification/ Permit:

• Currently dated Food Handler's Permit from County/State Health Department in which you reside if required by the state (Required in AZ). ServeSafe preferred.

• Certification from an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) food handler training accredited program or obtained within 30 days of employment (Required in IL). ServeSafe preferred.
