Overview

Join Civil & Environmental Consultants as a Survey Crew Chief and take the next step in your career by leading field operations and mentoring junior staff. You'll work on a variety of local, community focused survey projects under the guidance of a licensed Professional Surveyor.

Responsibilities:

    Lead field crews on boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, and construction layout surveys
  • Operate robotic total station, GNSS receivers, and other advanced survey equipment
  • Ensure data accuracy, safety compliance, and efficient crew operations
  • Train and mentor junior field staff, fostering technical growth and teamwork
  • Maintain detailed field notes, diagrams, and equipment logs
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and office staff to support project delivery

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field surveying experience
  • Experience supervising, directing, and coordinating site survey crew activities
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Comfortable with working on active construction sites in various weather conditions
  • Possessing a CST Level II or FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification is a plus
  • Experience operating total station, GNSS, or other advanced survey equipment
  • Skilled in the use of GPS devices, survey and drafting technologies, data collectors, and/or Total Station
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related studies is a plus
