POSITION SUMMARY

Accurately and efficiently compile and compute data for billing purposes and create invoices for work completed.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions Statement(s):

Must be flexible while maintaining high attention to detail

Must have a willingness to receive instruction and work directly with project management on various project types
Code field work timesheets and communicate deficiencies to field employees
Gather data to create weekly invoices and follow up with customers to resolve short/over and unapplied payments
Translate various field reports into accurate unit invoices, make notes on unusual items, communicate with project management, and follow up with customers on payment and adjustment status
Send invoices for approval to field managers and make corrections as needed
Answer customer inquiries regarding billing status, billed amounts, and proposed adjustments
Utilize J.D. Edwards construction software to create jobs for hourly, unit, and lump sum work, retrieve cost reports, and post invoices to A/R
Print out and analyze AR reports for company collections, review billing status and job reports based on assigned crews
Report directly to billing manager regarding billing reports, resolution of problems identified during reviews, invoice adjustments, and customer collections
Ability to accurately input data in a timely manner

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred; although work experience in accounting, billing, bookkeeping, or other business function will be considered.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; Construction or other accounting software a plus

Other Requirements

Ability to analyze and correct information presented in Excel reports at the direction of the billing manager will be essential. Strong problem solving skills are essential to this position.
