Description

    Providing real-world, real time IT-related technical support, system administration, and Tier 2 help desk to USAF Air Traffic Control (ATC) and air superiority operations
  • Identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting and fixing errors and problems with:
    • Windows, RHEL and ESXi based clients and servers
    • Video and audio recording systems and associated storage devices
    • Encryption devices
    • LAN/WAN configuration and connectivity
    • IP-enabled telephones
    • Various Software Defined Radio (SDR) radio systems
    • Various tracking/radar systems
  • Installing and testing of software patches and firmware updates
  • Configuring and testing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Providing remote technical support to USAF users/operators
  • Providing documentation support such as hardware/software installation procedures, software version descriptions, and user guides

Requirements

  • Active DoD-issued Secret security clearance
  • Active Cybersecurity Workforce certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CEH
  • Three or more years of hardware and software integrator/administrator level technical support for DoD computing, network, and encryption platforms that included the following:
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 or higher, Linux, and ESXi operating systems
    • Development of scripts using PowerShell, VBS, and/or Bash
    • Testing, and deployment of cybersecurity updates to include creation and/or update of related documentation artifacts
    • Configuration and/or troubleshooting experience with at least five of the following technologies/hardware:
  • Cisco switches and routers
  • Tactical Data Links
  • Tactical Radios
  • TACLANE
  • Servers
  • Network Attached Storage
  • Encryption devices such as the KG-175
  • Ground to Air Transmitter/Receiver
  • IP-enabled telephones
  • Joint Relay Extension
  • 721S family of Fixed Site VHF-UHF Radio Transceivers
  • RT-9000D HF Transceiver
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
  • Battlefield Command Control and Communications (BC3) systems
  • Other Air Traffic Control related technologies


Desired Skills

  • Past, direct experience providing technical support to DoD Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and subsystems that included command and control systems and tracking systems
  • VMware Certified Technical Associate or higher certification


Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
