Summary:The Order Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of customer orders, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations. As part of the Order Services team, this role is responsible for managing incoming order requests, verifying key information and proactively addressing discrepancies or issues that may impact the health of the order. This role supports operational excellence by maintaining a high level of attention to detail, consistency, and service reliability. This role works closely with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Experience and the Sales Support Technical team to support the overall customer experience.

  • Process incoming customer orders with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely entry into the system.
  • Prioritize orders to meet shipping deadlines and customer expectations
  • Review orders for completeness, pricing and product availability; escalate any issues to the Customer Experience team to follow up
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal partners (e.g., Sales, Customer Experience, Sales Support technical teams, Logistics, Supply Chain) regarding order status and issue resolution.
  • Support post-shipment issue resolution and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Follow established operating procedures and utilize job aids and SOPs to complete tasks.
  • Support data quality initiatives by reviewing order data and participating in cleanup efforts.
  • Contribute to team goals by managing workload effectively and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
  • Provide support during peak periods or when team coverage is limited.

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay rate range of $27 to $30 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in order fulfillment, sales support, customer service, or a related field.

Preferred education and experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience in business, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with order management systems or ERP platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical/Mental demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
