Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, tools, and equipment essential to construction operations. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and project teams to keep construction sites properly stocked and organized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and report discrepancies.
  • Manage inventory of PPE by maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Prepare and label all spare parts to be stored as well as hazardous and non-hazardous materials coming in and going out.
  • Support inventory audits and physical counts.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) as needed.
  • Communicate with suppliers, drivers, and site managers
  • Ensure compliance with Manson's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct
  • Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and pride in work.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Take all necessary safety training and be a safety supporter.

Physical Demands
Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time.
