Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the following:
Lead Sourcing & Procurement (S&P) for a large life sciences client. Work directly with S&P leadership, account leadership, and client to manage expectations and team deliverables. Develop and execute sourcing strategies and lead sourcing events with considerations to savings, innovation, risk, and alignment to client and JLL objectives. Accountable for effectively managing, mentoring, recruiting, and developing direct report(s) to be world-class Sourcing and Procurement professionals. Provide impactful leadership in a cross-functional and collaborative environment to drive immediate and sustained benefits to our client and JLL. Drive results through S&P program implementation, monitoring progress, managing to operational excellence guideline, AND meeting account level KPIs and goals. Develop and deliver total supply chain strategy and solutions - including innovative category, sourcing, and vendor strategies, supplier performance and relationship management, oversee compliance and controls, and identify opportunities for improvement. Proactively manage internal and external expectations by understanding business needs and priorities. Identify risks and opportunities to clients/stakeholders and recommend strategies to achieve company goals while mitigating risk.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead the execution of sourcing events, including strategy development, direct negotiation, RFP development, project initiation, and communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Develop and manage timelines for sourcing projects, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are completed on schedule. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of supplier proposals, identify outliers, and collaborate with account teams and suppliers to improve proposal accuracy. Provide subject matter expertise on assigned categories, including supplier insight, market trends, and best practices. Enhance and manage Supplier Performance Management Program, including collaboration with operations and quality teams to develop scorecard through survey and CMMS metrics, sharing results and reviewing with select 3rd party subcontractors via QBR process, and delivering a quarterly report to Operations Teams and Client. Ensure all sourcing technology tools and subject matter experts are leveraged to drive value to the client Ensure compliance with JLL's sourcing and procurement policies, standards, and playbooks. Develop and implement annual sourcing plans and supplier relationship management initiatives. Be a subject matter expert in support of JLL sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and program management. Perform periodic market trend analysis in the specific categories; analyzing supplier base, industry changes, etc. Report analysis to Supply Chain and business stakeholders in a client-ready form. Support and guide the Category Management team's supplier relationship and performance programs with key suppliers.
Required Qualifications and technical skills:
8+ years of strategic sourcing experience for services or indirect categories related to facilities services highly desired along with people management experience. Bachelor's Degree - Business or Supply Chain Management preferred. MBA or JD, a plus CPM, CPSM or CPSD certification preferred. Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications - Excel, Word & PowerPoint E-procurement experience, preferably Jaggaer. Willingness to travel within the U.S.
Required Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience leading sourcing events and managing direct reports. Strong analytical, negotiation, and supply chain management skills. Proficiency with sourcing and procurement technology platforms (Jaggaer, Aravo, Corrigo a plus). Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, organization skills, strong analytical ability, and proven ability to lead teams in a decentralized environment. Excellent communication skills - oral and written. Project management and business transition experience preferred.
