Warehouse Supervisor, 2nd Shift

As a Warehouse Supervisor, 2nd Shift, you will execute the shipping of finished goods and manage the hourly associates throughout the shift. You will oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of the output of group leaders and associates working on your team. You will exhibit a working knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and processes. You will work with other departments within the facility to accomplish plant-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Enforce safety procedures to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job
  • Ensure that environmental, health, and safety guidelines are followed
  • Achieve daily production and OEE target by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, and monitoring progress
  • Resolve problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending or executing actions
  • Communicate job expectations and ensure that employees are performing up to expectations in both productivity and quality by coaching, and counseling.
  • Periodically assess the status of employees in training and existing employees for skill development
  • Efficient and high-quality organization of logistics and warehouse operations
  • Analysis and optimization of warehousing and other logistics processes
  • Inventory management and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery
  • Ensure movement and proper storage of goods
  • Manage and control documentation related to warehouse operations
  • Maintain warehouse order and promptly resolving any arising issues

Qualifications:

  • High school/GED required and 10+ years of shipping/warehousing experience
  • OR bachelor's degree with 1 to 5 years of shipping/warehousing experience
  • Leadership and/or management experience
  • A solid knowledge of ERP systems, like Oracle or SAP
  • Competency in Excel and data management
