The Sr. Director of Finance will serve as the financial and strategic partner to Incyte's Corporate Strategy teams (Business Development, Alliance Management, Global Product Strategy). This individual will provide analytical, financial, and operational support for all partnership, licensing, M&A, and strategic investment activities. The Director will play a critical role in evaluating external opportunities, shaping deal structures, and supporting executive decision-making to advance Incyte's growth strategy.
- Lead valuation, financial modeling, and scenario analysis for potential transactions, including discounted cash flow (DCF), NPV, and accretion/dilution analyses.
- Partner with the Business Development, R&D, and Commercial teams to evaluate and model potential in-licensing, co-development, and acquisition opportunities.
- Provide financial due diligence support and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, R&D, Commercial, Tax, and Accounting) to assess risk and value drivers.
- Develop and maintain financial frameworks to assess deal economics, ROI, and alignment with Incyte's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Strategy team to develop, implement, and sustain the portfolio evaluation framework, including conducting ad-hoc assessments as needed.
- Support the long-range financial planning process.
- Support Incyte objectives by providing financial modeling and translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Lead budget and forecast process for Corporate Development and Strategy department.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting excellence in financial analysis and business partnership.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency) |
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business. MBA preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or business development finance within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills with deep understanding of biotech deal structures (licensing, co-development, M&A).
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment, supporting complex transactions and cross-functional deal teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business and scientific insights into financial implications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of engaging with senior executives and external partners.
- Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented leadership style.
