DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will review and process requests for Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) submitted by individuals and non-criminal justice agencies, including the Office of Administration, Civil Service Commission, and the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) via mail or the Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History (PATCH) system. After receiving a request, you will compare the requester's identifying information with the data in the CHRI State Identifier (SID) response and update the individual's criminal history to maintain accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will ensure that all information released for individuals and non-criminal justice agencies is authorized and appropriate.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Free parking is included with this position.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be willing to work onsite full-time. Teleworking is not an option as part of this position's work schedule.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
