DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will oversee the activities of a general highway maintenance team engaged in manual labor and the operation of heavy machinery to conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks on or near designated highways. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive year-round planning, execution, and completion of all stages of various projects or assignments. This includes ensuring that the crew adheres to safety protocols, maintaining equipment, and effectively coordinating with other departments to optimize workflow and project outcomes. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a productive work environment while ensuring that all maintenance operations meet established standards and timelines. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Summer Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
