About the Job

Duties/Responsibilities:
*Drafting CAD designs and CAM processes for additive manufacturing of parts and prototypes. (30%)
*Printing scaffolding structures for spinal cord regeneration projects. (30%)
*Troubleshooting already-existing systems in use for manufacturing. (20%)
*Develop custom 3D printing processes for prototyping sterile parts for cellular testing. (10%)
*Writing procedures/developing protocols for publications and project presentations. (10%)

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be included in the application materials

Required Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering plus at least two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least six years.
*Previous research experience.
*Experience with 3D printing scaffolding structures of varying dimensions per the groups specifications for spinal cord regeneration projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
*Experience using Fisnar robotics systems, FormLabs resin printers, and other biomedical prototyping systems.
*Knowledge about materials and biocompatibility/bioavailability at the cellular level.
*Experience in writing machine language and code to develop custom additive manufacturing protocols.
*Knowledge on how to use metrological tools in micro-nano scales for calibration and dimension confirmations.
*Experience with electrode array/assay usage in the neurology research space.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $22.25/hr - $27/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience.

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
