STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics in Mesa, Arizona to support Precision Heli Support, LLC, an FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This role is ideal for experienced helicopter mechanics with preferred experience on MD, Bell, and Airbus helicopters. Position Summary

As an A&P Mechanic, you will perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual, and manufacturer instructions with little to no supervision. This position may include performing off site maintenance and travel as required.


Primary Responsibilities / Skills Required

  • Use hand tools, power tools, machines, and associated equipment
  • Inspect, test, repair, maintain, and service aircraft
  • Assist Sheetmetal Technicians when required and perform minor sheet metal work
  • Perform minor electrical repairs and assist in avionics modifications
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, engineering drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair or replacement
  • Maintain a basic set of hand tools required to perform assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Pass all required drug testing
  • Travel occasionally as needed

Knowledge and Skills

  • Perform aircraft track and balance
  • Perform modifications using blueprints, schematics, and process specifications
  • Perform simple to moderate sheet metal and composite repairs
  • Use OEM manuals confidently and accurately
  • Update and maintain aircraft records
  • Walk and stand on level and inclined surfaces for extended periods
  • Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands
  • Crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows and knees, and reach above and below shoulders
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ride onboard aircraft in flight when required
  • Read dials and gauges and identify small objects and hand tools
  • See imperfections, micrometer readings, and other small scales
  • Communicate clearly by voice and detect sound by ear
  • Distinguish color and judge three dimensional depth
  • Operate vehicles, machinery, hand tools, and ground support equipment as needed

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years Aircraft Mechanic experience on fixed wing and or rotor wing aircraft
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate preferred
  • OEM airframe specific training a plus but not required
