Position Description The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of all physical facilities across multiple sites or a large, complex campus. This role ensures that buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and related services meet the needs of the organization efficiently, safely, and sustainably. The Senior Facilities Manager leads a team of facilities professionals, manages vendor relationships, and collaborates with senior leadership to align facilities operations with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Oversight Develop and implement long-term space and facilities strategies aligned with organizational growth and sustainability goals. Lead capital improvement projects, renovations, and space planning initiatives. Manage multi-site operations or large-scale facilities portfolios. Team Leadership Supervise and mentor facilities managers, maintenance staff, and contractors. Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations. Budget & Vendor Management Prepare and manage annual facilities budgets, including forecasting and cost control. Negotiate and oversee contracts with vendors for maintenance, security, cleaning, and other services. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, ADA, and environmental standards. Lead emergency preparedness and response planning for facilities. Operational Excellence Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely repairs. Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Utilize facilities management software and data analytics to drive decision-making. Required Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). 8+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, including 3+ years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing large-scale or multi-site facilities. Strong knowledge of industrial real estate leasing and contracting, building systems, construction, safety regulations, and sustainability practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite. Why Choose Modine?
