Applies common engineering principles to identify and quantify improvement opportunities for product design and process methodology, and will consider all aspects of the manufacturing process including manpower, methods, materials, machines, measurements, and the work environment Perform product assurance activities of a complex nature to assure that the dimensional, material, and visual characteristics of the product's design, as documented on drawing, specifications, and quality standards, consistently meet the customer's technical data requirements and product acceptance criteria.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review supplier quality data and nonconformances. Provide dispositions of suspect supplier parts and work with the supplier/manufacture on corrective action and implementation or escape prevention through the use of quality inspection plans and quality specifications. Assure parts and components as received for inspection in the most efficient manner while maintaining the high quality standards required. Review and define control points within the manufacturing processes and implements them through the use of quality inspection plans and quality specifications. Assure product is being assembled with Quality Built In and inspected in the most efficient manner while maintaining the high quality standards required. Interact with customers, suppliers, and management on quality related concerns from the manufacturing area affecting product compliance, corrective and preventative actions. Familiarity with FMEA, Detail Process and Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis and Error Proofing tools. Support completion of First Article Inspection Reports, FAIRs, and other essential quality systems. Apply working knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP.. Aid in training associates in department specific work procedures. Programming, implementation and initial setup of production equipment Carries out cost-effective design, installation, method of transfer, monitoring, and modification of manufacturing processes. Identifies problems in process of materials. Researches and suggests alternative approaches to the manufacturing process Analyzes yield and statistical process control data and provides corrective actions First time build oversight and production release approvals in all production departments for production set ups, procedures, work instructions, tooling, and monitoring of the production process used Development, implementation, and maintenance of necessary production tooling/fixtures Immediate technical support to production staff:
Provide Real-time "tweaks" to production processes Feedback to & coordination of issues & updates w/ Managers, Engineers and Supervisors
Support monthly Continuous Improvement Meeting with Production and Quality Departments. All other assigned duties as required within the quality organization. Proven analytical and problem solving skills, including statistical data analysis and interpretation, as well as the ability to develop, implement, and drive improvement plans and project teams to successful completion. Strong background in the use and understanding of key manufacturing performance metrics. Ability to interpret customer documentation (Blueprints, drawings, bills of material, specifications) Strong communication skills in English-verbal & written, planning, and organizational skills. Hands on skills for mechanical assembly; hardware installation, epoxy application Use of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Work up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week and is flexible to work weekends. Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually. Excellent interpersonal skills; willingness to be part of a team Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Ability to sit/stand up to 8 hours a day. Previous engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, experience with sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining is advantageous Working knowledge of Industry and Military Standards

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
