Job Summary:RELI Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Data Analyst to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Multidimensional Information Data Analytics System (MIDAS) Program. The Data Analyst will play a key role in transforming complex healthcare and operational data into meaningful insights that drive program decision-making, reporting, and modernization objectives.

This role involves hands-on data analysis, dashboard and report development, data quality validation, and close collaboration with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Business Analysts, and QA teams within an AWS/Databricks-based environment.

Responsibilities:




  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights across CMS healthcare and operational domains.



  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports using tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI to support leadership and stakeholder decision-making.



  • Translate business requirements into analytical specifications, data queries, and reporting logic.



  • Write efficient SQL to query, validate, and profile data stored in AWS S3, Redshift, Delta Lake, and Databricks environments.



  • Perform data quality assessments, reconciliation, and validation of ingestion and transformation pipelines.



  • Partner with Data Engineers to refine transformation logic, metadata standards, and analytic datasets.



  • Support monthly/quarterly reporting cycles, compliance-driven analytics, and FISMA/ARS 5.0 data needs.



  • Document analysis methods, data definitions, data flows, and business rules in support of auditability and reproducibility.



  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, PI Planning, retrospectives) and collaborate across MIDAS scrum teams.



  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and optimization of analytics and reporting processes.




Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in data-analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.



  • 4+ years of experience in analytical or business intelligence roles.



  • Strong SQL experience performing data extraction, validation, and transformation.



  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.



  • Hands-on experience analyzing datasets in cloud environments (AWS or Databricks preferred).



  • Experience conducting data profiling, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.



  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and communicate findings clearly.



  • Strong collaboration skills; able to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.




Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience supporting CMS programs or working with ACA, QHP, HICS, HIOS, or other healthcare datasets.



  • Familiarity with Databricks notebooks, Delta Lake, Python, or PySpark for exploratory analysis.



  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, or FISMA/ARS 5.0 reporting needs.



  • Understanding of CMS TRA/TLC frameworks and Agile (SAFe) delivery methodologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00.Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws.
