The Graphic Designer will join our Corporate Marketing Team to help bring bold ideas and strategic storytelling to life. From digital graphics and community websites to polished print pieces and concept signage, you'll help create visuals that set Highwoods apart. If you're creative, detail-obsessed, eager to grow and excited to collaborate, this role is the perfect place to sharpen your craft and make your mark with our placemaking business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Become a true expert in the Highwoods brand and business and use it to create designs that look sharp and intentional while also being tailored to a call-to-action, a customer's need or the ultimate objective: filling our portfolio
  • Dream up ideas, sketch concepts, build layouts and collaborate with the team to bring strong creative to life in support of our four core customers: our community, our customers, our prospective customers and our investors
  • Design across a variety of channels: print, digital, web, landing pages and more
  • Create everything from brochures and signage to social graphics, emails, presentations and event materials-supporting leasing, development and operations across the portfolio
  • See projects through from first idea to final delivery, including prepping print and digital files
  • Take feedback like a pro-refining designs based on input from market teams, marketing leadership, and executive teammates
  • Share fresh ideas and help shape future campaigns, advertising and brand moments



WHAT YOU'LL BRING:



  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator...bonus points for Premiere Pro and/or After Effects), Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva
  • Photography and videography/editing experience is a plus
  • Illustration skills are a plus
  • A strong eye for design-layout, typography, color, and hierarchy
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to evolve designs based on feedback
  • The flexibility to juggle deadlines, switch gears and learn new things quickly
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative and positive spirit-teamwork powers the process and fuels our creative output


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in graphic design, visual communication or related field
  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience is required
  • Experience in real estate or development marketing is a plus
