DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide administrative support to the Bureau Administrative Manager to ensure operational efficiency. Performs receptionist duties including answering incoming phone calls, monitors Bureau's resource account, typing reports and correspondence, record retention, inventory, filing, bulletin board maintenance, and other general office procedures. In this position the Clerical Assistant 2 will assist in the processing of proposed directives, manuals, regulations, correspondence, and other Department publications by ensuring all the information is typographically and grammatically correct, punctuated properly, spelled and formatted correctly, and ready for distribution according to Department policy. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Two years or more of experience proofreading and drafting correspondence.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass criminal history and background investigations if you do not have a current Pennsylvania State Police background on file.
