NETWORK ENGINEER

What you'll do.

The Network Engineer plays a key role in building and sustaining a reliable, secure, and high-performing enterprise network. This role designs, maintains, and enhances all networking and telephony systems while providing expert support across the organization. The Network Engineer also partners closely with IT leadership to meet Service Level Agreements and drive forward key technology initiatives.

What we look for.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Managing Information Systems or related field of study is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Cisco networking or Cisco Nexus work experience in a medium or large enterprise is required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience of cloud networking systems (AWS, Azure, or similar) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold the AAN's values is required is required.
  • General systems administration experience, AD, DHCP, DNS
  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information is required.
  • Strong customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to work on projects under general supervision is required.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or similar networking concepts including virtual networks, network security groups, VPN gateways, and Azure Firewall is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of Azure networking resources and Azure tools and services is preferred.
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate Certification or similar is preferred.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCDA is preferred.

Relevant education and/or experience exceeding the required qualifications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required - up to 5%.

Location: Minneapolis, MNand is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week).

Schedule: Some evenings and weekends required.
