Summary:

Working in a supportive role under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II - Acute Care role functions as a competent Pharmacy Technician who possesses in-depth knowledge and experience in all areas of the pharmacy and is assigned one or more specialized areas of responsibilities.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Associate's Degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician required.
  3. Experience: Two years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience with at least a year completed in a MaineHealth pharmacy. Technicians certified by the PTCB at time of hire moving to Pharmacy Tech II may be considered after six months of start date.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
