Job Summary As a Software Engineer I you will work on our Manheim Selling Center platform. Selling Center is the central resource dealers use to manage their wholesale vehicle inventory efficiently across multiple sales channels, including physical and digital auctions. We own and are responsible for our applications from design and development to testing and support. Our infrastructure is built using modern AWS technologies. We embrace Agile practices and have organizational support for managing technical debt; we don't just build systems; we keep them healthy. If you want to work on highly impactful software running at scale in the cloud, with the ability to both learn new technologies and have an impact on our ability to succeed as a team, organization, and company, this job is for you Technologies we use TypeScript, ReactJS, AWS, Ruby NewRelic, Splunk Jenkins, Github Actions, CDK, Terraform MySQL, Postgres Your Role Take part in SDLC contributing to team rituals and development practices Design, build, and support solutions for our cloud-native, user-facing products Engage with your agile delivery team to build a culture of passion, trust, and creativity Seek out and engage in mentoring relationships with senior developers LEARN AND GROW Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field, (preferably Computer Science). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future. 1+ year(s) in developing full-stack software Experience with and desire to grow front-end development practice. Experience with AI assisted development practices and patterns. Familiarity with cloud native software which runs on and integrates in the Cloud with a preference for AWS technologies such as ECS, Lambda, SQS, and RDS. Use of distributed version control software such as Git. Experience working in an Agile team environment. Bonus Points Experience in creating new infrastructure with tools like Terraform or CDK. Understanding of automated deployments and release orchestration. Working experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems. Understanding of automated deployments and release orchestration. Understanding of Microservices architecture and design concepts. An understanding of deployment methodologies like Blue/Green, Canary, etc. Familiarity with various Cloud and other monitoring tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Splunk). Knowledge of how to design and optimize access of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or My SQL. USD 72,200.00 - 108,200.00 per year Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 - $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
