Job Description

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols established for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the healthcare environment to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and support site operations.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
  • Work assignments may include duties in a hospital morgue.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
