What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while representing Allied Universal at the government location.
  • Assist in implementing emergency procedures and support evacuation or shelter-in-place drills as directed.
  • Follow all site-specific guidelines and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
