What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas and/or escorting visitors and staff as required.
  • Remain alert and attentive to the environment, reporting potential hazards or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
  • Work assignments may include duties in the hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
