The Reliability Engineer ensures that proven Reliability Engineering and Continuous Improvement methods and techniques are used to maximize asset and system availability, throughput, quality, safety, and environmental performance.



Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sound Reliability Engineering principles are applied to maximize asset availability, throughput, quality, safety, and environmental performance
  • Provide technical oversight for equipment hierarchy development and maintenance planning/scheduling/execution functions
  • Manage maintenance storeroom operations and Asset Criticality Database development
  • Develop failure modes driven Equipment Maintenance Plans (EMPs) and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze asset failure data using statistical methods to optimize MRO inventory, preventive maintenance frequencies, and equipment design
  • Determine optimized maintenance strategies through reliability modeling based on downtime costs, maintenance costs, and EHSS impact
  • Oversee condition-based monitoring activities and manage the site's Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts and maintain databases of RCA/RCFA/PDCA results
  • Apply reliability analysis methods to new equipment designs and develop Design for Reliability Standards
  • Leverage Lean concepts (5S, Kaizen, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping) to support asset reliability processes
  • Manage capital engineering projects and ensure proper equipment design, installation, and commissioning


Qualifications:

  • Education: BS Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Reliability, or equivalent
  • Experience: 3-10 years as a Reliability/Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing with strong focus on Continuous Improvement and Lean concepts


Skills:



  • Advanced understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance processes
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CMMS (SAP preferred), statistical analysis software, and availability simulation/modeling tools
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred



Travel Required: 5-10%

Shift: 1st (7am - 4pm; flexibility to work weekends depending on production needs)

Pay: $130,000-145,000
