An associate’s degree from an accredited institution, or 60 semester hours, in
Networking Technology, Computer Technology, or a closely related discipline.
At least two years of related professional experience including one year of
relevant experience in network support, installation, and troubleshooting.
Required Knowledge: Computer networking principles, protocols, and operations.
Network hardware (switches, routers, WAPs). Unix-based and Windows
operating systems. Category 6/6a cabling requirements and basic electronic
principles.
Required Skills: Knowledge of basic electronic diagnosis and repair. Proficiency
in word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to terminate Category
6/6a twisted-pair in appropriate connectors.
