We're hiring a System Administrator (Hybrid Infrastructure & Azure Cloud) to work directly with the CTO and own the strategic backbone of our 24/7 contact-center operations.

Hours & Pay

Salary Range: $97,000 - $110,000 (base $85,000-$95,000 + 15% on-call premium)

Schedule: Full-time, direct hire; core hours aligned with standard but includes on-call responsibilities (first shift primarily, on-call duty once per quarter or as needed)

Daily Tasks & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage and optimise our Fortinet platform (firewalls, infrastructure deployments, redundancy strategies).
  • Monitor and maintain network performance to deliver industry-leading uptime (> 99.999%).
  • Administer and support Azure cloud services: VMs, storage, ExpressRoute, virtual networks, load balancers, Entra (Azure AD), and hybrid integration.
  • Oversee Microsoft SQL Server environments with Always On Availability Groups, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Support voice infrastructure: handle SIP trunk configurations (Twilio, Telnyx), troubleshoot escalated voice/VoIP issues, partner with software vendors
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments, oversee failover clusters and advanced infrastructure scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, monitoring/alerting systems, incident response processes, and vendor relationships.



Required Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years (or more) of system/network administration in high-availability environments
  • Strong experience with FortiGate/firewall management and the Fortinet ecosystem
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure (networking, VMs, ExpressRoute, load balancing, HA)
  • Solid experience administering Microsoft SQL Server with Always On Availability Groups
  • Working knowledge of SIP protocols, VoIP technologies, or voice infrastructure (Twilio, Telnyx)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server environments, and failover clusters
  • Experience working in 24/7/mission-critical operations with an uptime and reliability focus
  • Professional skills: strong problem-solver, rapid incident responder, excellent documentation and communication skills, self-motivated, and detail-oriented


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience configuring/administering Asterisk servers
  • Familiarity with WCTP (Wireless Communications Transfer Protocol), SMS gateway integrations
  • 3CX phone system administration and Wireshark proficiency for SIP/network analysis


Critical Requirements:



  • On-call availability as part of 24/7 support rotation
  • Ability to respond to critical incidents within ~15 minutes
  • Occasional off-hours maintenance work and flexible scheduling
  • Reliability mindset: maintaining > 99.999% uptime requires exceptional vigilance



Benefits

We offer a competitive total compensation package including a base salary of $85,000-$95,000 plus an on-call premium (15% of base), bringing the target salary range to $97,000-$110,000.
