The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Ultrasound Technologist will provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment. This individual is competent in the production and analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment. In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of sonographic services. The Ultrasound Technologist provides patient services using diagnostic CT scan equipment, is competent in the production of quality images to be used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment. In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality care by exercising discretion and good judgment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduate of approved school
  • ARRT or ARDMS Certification
  • BLS through American Heart Association

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Vascular, General, Gyn and OB imaging

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift
  • Per Diem Scheduling

Essential Functions:

  • Provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment
  • Enter patient information, select appropriate transducer, set initial power input and instrument gain for patient size and age, and select menu items as required for type of equipment and provide consistent and optimal image quality
  • Recognize ultrasonic representation of normal and abnormal structures, organs, system relationships and relational anatomy
  • Utilize proper positioning and technical factors to assure diagnostic quality images for interpretation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
