THE ROLE:

As a Product Development engineer, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to help with driving the execution of AMD's Value-Added Services (VAS) for FPGA and Adaptive SoC products. This role bridges technical innovation with customer engagement, enabling tailored solutions that drive design wins and revenue growth. This individual serves as a critical technical point of contact to the business, sales, technical field, customers, and product engineering teams. THE PERSON:

A successful candidate possesses deep technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a strategic mindset to deliver differentiated services across manufacturing, logistics, and engineering domains. Additionally, the candidate can make technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project's success.This role allows the opportunity to influence technical decisions that have a significant impact on multiple products or the product line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate to Customize AMD Products: Work closely with cross-functional teams to tailor device features-such as performance, power, and test screening-based on customer needs.
  • Collaborate to Deliver Custom Technical Solutions: Leverage customer-specific offerings including customized test screening, eFUSE programming, secure provisioning, and device-level traceability.
  • Partner with Customers: Engage directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and co-develop solutions that align with their system goals.
  • Coordinate Service Delivery: Team up with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics to deliver value-added services like custom labeling and marking, and package enhancements.
  • Contribute to Innovation and Growth: Support the team in identifying and executing new service opportunities that strengthen AMD's competitive edge and drive business growth.
  • Support die / wafer delivery efforts: Work with internal teams on bare die, chiplet, and SiP programs, ensuring technical readiness and smooth integration with customers.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in semiconductor product engineering, technical sales, or solutions architecture.
  • Deep understanding of FPGA, Adaptive SoC architectures, and manufacturing test methodologies.
  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills; ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to drive initiatives and manage complex customization workflows.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related fields.
