About the Role & Team:

FIS' suite of asset liability management and regulatory reporting solutions offer clear insight into discovering hidden risks, by offering a coordinated and consistent approach to managing all of the risks and opportunities in the balance sheet: interest rate and market risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, regulatory and economic capital management and regulatory compliance.

The Asset Liability Senior Analyst role will serve as a key Subject Matter Expert for commercial bank balance sheet risk management. They will thrive in an environment of collaboration across functional departments representing our customers' best interests, act as a self-starter, and be ready to take a hands-on approach when dealing with clients, prospects, and partners.

  • We build world leading solutions for Balance Sheet Management (Integrated Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk and Capital Mgmt).

  • The product teams work with customers and prospects to understand and solve their current and future risk management dilemmas.

  • The teams constantly evolve the analytical and simulation capabilities, workflow and computing power of our solutions so that they meet current and future customer needs.

What you will be doing:

1: Regulatory and Market Intelligence

  • Keep abreast of regulatory and market changes and how they impact our customers (ex. Regulatory examination priorities); Serve as an expert face towards the market.

  • Present at key industry events.

  • Continually call and/or visit all customers in the market to discuss market, regulatory and other risk and balance sheet management challenges, and how we can help.

  • Facilitate client satisfaction and solution needs intelligence by supporting activities such as: surveys, regional workshops, client advisory councils, new release and roadmap updates.

  • Assess, filter and rank order your opinion of ALM challenges; Collaborate with the Sales, Presales and other Product managers to understand these key market needs to develop a short and medium term pragmatic market strategy to meet them.

  • Offer opinion to support the design, test cases, user experience and rollout of new market specific ALM features where required.

  • Become the senior most expert on features most relevant/specific to the market.

  • Develop focused solution marketing collateral in the form of webinar presentations and other speaking engagements, white papers, articles, etc. to support the market strategy, and offer customers very tangible takeaways

2: Serve as FIS' counterpart to the bank's risk personnel in client meetings

  • Participate in demonstrations / meetings reinforcing the value of our solutions and how they can help the bank's ALM problems.

  • Complement the demo specialists who demo the software, by explaining the strategic value with personal anecdotes and experience.

  • Work with the demo specialists to enhance the demo for specific market and high value appeal.

  • Act as a connection point and communicator between Sales, Presales, the other Product managers and the Implementation teams.

3: Practical Guidance/Common practice support to our Implementation teams

  • Work with our project implementation teams on complex projects to ensure project success: share practical guidance to the customer on common and pragmatic practice for modelling choices and approaches.

  • Participate in scoping in those projects, and help Implementation Services team members identify solutions to client needs using existing modelling and reporting functionality.

  • Collaborate with the implementation teams to improve their project approaches so they are efficient, repeatable, and successful.

What you bring:

  • 7+ years banking experience, with direct experience in balance sheet management topics such as: Interest Rate Risk/ALM, Liquidity Risk Mgmt, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), ALCO Reporting

  • Deep functional and industry knowledge

  • Very strong personal and presentation skills

  • Hands on approach

  • Self-initiative

  • Willingness to travel, 25-33%

Added Bonus if you have:
