We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead our talented team of Sales Representatives and Project Managers in the standby power generation sector. This pivotal role focuses on propelling the success of our sales initiatives and ensuring the seamless execution of power generation projects. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a passion for power systems technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer value. They will possess the ability to navigate complex sales cycles, build strong customer relationships, and adapt to rapidly evolving market conditions in the power generation industry. The successful candidate will drive sales growth and manage customer relationships throughout our comprehensive power systems portfolio in the Middle Tennessee area. Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage a team of Sales Representatives and Project Managers, setting performance targets and providing ongoing coaching and development.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed company goals in the standby power generation market.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the sales and project management teams to ensure alignment on client requirements, project timelines, and quality standards.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure that team operations adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, enhancing customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical aspects of standby power systems to support team members in sales pitches and project execution.
  • Analyze sales data and project outcomes to continuously improve processes and team performance.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in power systems sales, with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share
  • Strong technical knowledge of power generation equipment and electrical distribution systems
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region
  • Experience with Caterpillar products and dealer networks
