We are seeking a dedicated Engineering & Systems Integration and Implementation Professional to use engineering or other technical methods to recognize and formulate problems and collect data through observation and measurement that support the planning, development, integration, implementation, and testing of technical, engineering solutions. This position will be located in Oak Ridge, TN. Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite at the Y12 National Security Complex. The selected applicant will be expected to travel 25-50%. Salary Range
$85,100 - $164,100 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. Qualifications We Require

About Our Team
The Security System Engineering Department, (6553) is a component of Sandia's Weapons & Force Protection Center. Department 6553 is responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of complex physical security systems to protect critical DoD and DOE assets and defense capabilities. The department provides project management and subject matter experts in the area of risk analysis, intrusion detection, video assessment, communications, entry control and Alarm Communication and Display, and response force planning. These subject matter experts are developed internally with extensive hands on training and external educational opportunities. Department employees have the ability to lead and/or participate as a subject matter expert in vulnerability/risk analysis studies, engineering studies, system design, Sensor and access control component testing, development, and integration of complex physical security systems (PSS) for DoD, DOE and other government agencies. Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, and Civil Engineers primarily fill these roles. This department is currently working with the DOE and DoD to enhance the effectiveness of critical asset protection at CONUS/OCONUS installations through several multi-million dollar initiatives. Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.
