Overview
Develops and manages Supply Planning processes, systems and teams across the supply chain to enable the delivery of the Americas EBIDTA and service objectives for assigned regions within the Americas trading bloc. Increases the value of Supply Planning to the Americas organization through the development of effective replenishment strategies, continuous improvement, management & control of key operating metrics, and the development of team members and suppliers by applying commercially focused, constructive and collaborative leadership.
Responsibilities
SUPPLY PLANNING
Responsible for all aspects of the supply planning, direct procurement and inventory investment for assigned regions in the Americas to achieve defined customer service, inventory and EBIDTA objectives.
- Develops and manages 26-52-week collaborative supply planning & procurement processes, ensuring they follow accepted methodologies, have an analytical basis. Ensures that supply planning processes are documented and integrated upstream with supplier processes.
- Control costs through effective supply planning, buying programs, the management of inventory composition & the execution of network/logistics strategy. Implement approved Supply Chain changes to improve the total cost of ownership.
- Develops & manages the Supply Planning team for the planning and procurement of direct materials & services, ensuring that defined customer service, cost and inventory objectives are met.
- Manages the integration of supply planning for new product launches with upstream partners and manages the exit of discontinued items in the most efficient way (minimizing the cost of excess & obsolete inventory).
- Partners with the Demand Manager to develop a balanced demand & supply plan and manage the planning trade-offs.
- Works with full competence to oversee the end-to-end process of purchasing finished goods and packaging services from external suppliers with expenditure authorization up to $100,000.
- Oversee purchase order lifecycle in ERP conducted by Supply Planner/Buyers: placement of POs according to DRP/promotional timing, load planning finished goods POs, management of purchase orders, transfer orders, and related processes; on-time delivery of finished goods to meet service level targets.
- Oversees management of tolling agreement for WD-40 concentrate blending executed by Sr. Supply Planner/Buyers, including management of trade-secret raw materials and raw materials suppliers and monthly financial reconciliations.
INVENTORY STRATEGY & ANALYSIS
- Manages the development of analysis and develops strategies and analysis to drive decision making, improvements in materials performance and the success of long-term objectives.
- Collaboratively leads the development of supply strategies & their translation into analytically-based inventory policies that drive replenishment planning and execution within the supply network.
- Develops initiatives to deliver upon both strategic & near-term supply chain objectives.
- Leads and develops detailed analysis and generates actionable recommendations related to, but not limited to: decision making, supply planning methodology, capacity utilization, materials/supply chain flows, and inventory composition.
- Partners with Operations Manager and Demand Manager to improve the forecast, quality of system projections, to develop inventory budgets & forecasts, and develops initiatives to control and improve materials results (service, cost & inventory).
- Partners with Logistics Manager to develop and implement logistics strategies & objectives for network replenishment to improve the efficiency of the network. * Collaborates with Director, Supply Chain Planning during monthly S&OP process, inventory reporting, and forecasting.
SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
- Manages the performance of suppliers with respect to supply planning & fulfillment.
- Provides leadership & development to suppliers, ensuring planning processes & signals are integrated effectively across the supply network.
- Collaborates with suppliers on key performance metrics to ensure compliance to supply agreements & developmental objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring key assumptions for supply planning are developed & maintained in collaboration with suppliers, documented and managed within the contracts management process.
- Develops long-term relationships and rapport with key suppliers to facilitate mutual gains and the balanced resolution of supply chain issues.
SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT
- Responsible for all aspects of the supply planning system including data inputs, outputs, policies and workflows.
- Drives the continuous improvement and development of supply planning software by applying expertise in process, technology, and supply chain theory.
- Develops & implements process improvements to improve the quality of the supply signal and to enable the team to extract efficiencies from investments in IT that result in operational & financial benefits.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or another analytical discipline.
- Professional certification from APICs or similar professional association, preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- 7-9 years of experience in supply chain management, in a systems-based planning environment and a supervisory role. CPG experience preferred.
- 5-6 years of experience with demand/materials planning tool (not to include excel)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- 4-5 years of experience leading cross-functions team
