We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Cost Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team for delivery of small, medium, and large-scale projects. You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects. You will work as part of the Owner's Representative Construction Management team to manage construction of heavy-civil public works projects.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Serve as the primary on-site representative and liaison between DJV and CJV site management, ensuring all works align with the RFC design documents, specifications, and design intent.
- Provide technical oversight and design verification, reviewing submittals, RFIs, and NCRs, and coordinating responses with the design team and Engineer of Record (EOR).
- Monitor geotechnical and structural instrumentation data daily, assess results against design parameters, and coordinate with instrumentation and design teams as needed.
- Supervise and verify TBM-related, SOE, excavation, jet grouting, and waterproofing works to ensure compliance with approved designs and geotechnical recommendations.
- Offer on-site technical interpretation and clarification of design drawings, and facilitate timely design clarifications or revisions during TBM operations.
- Ensure all design updates, deviations, and corrective actions are properly documented, communicated, and approved prior to implementation.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project reporting, including daily/weekly progress logs, monthly DSDC and DJV reports, and as-built documentation with traceable records of all coordination and approvals.

On top of that, you will relate to the following:
- Civil Engineer with 10-15 years' experience overseeing large-scale tunnel or underground infrastructure projects as a consultant's representative.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical, contractual, and quality aspects of geotechnical or structural works from design through construction.
- Strong knowledge of TBM operations, SOE systems, jet grouting, and waterproofing methods used in tunnel construction.
- Proven expertise in design verification, submittal/RFI/NCR review, and coordinating effectively with design and construction teams (DJV/CJV setup preferred).
- Proficiency in interpreting geotechnical instrumentation data and correlating it to design intent and field performance.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach to documentation.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in DC or eligibility to obtain one within 3 months of appointment.

Base compensation- $121,600 - $193,800 for Seattle location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location
