Base Compensation: $22/hr

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

This position supports Mesa's SDC business. Our Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators that assess the effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection processes for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental industries.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for production of culture media, processing of lab ware, provide support services to the Laboratory Analysts, and Machine Operators. All work must be performed using company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) following GMP and industry standards and protocols.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Initiate and assist in production of media.
• Operation of equipment such as autoclaves, sterilizers, and filling machines.
• Ability to follow SOPs which includes maintenance of SOPs when necessary.
• Exhibit excellent documentation practices.
• Comply with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Application of the Mesa Labs Quality Policy and actively monitor quality of outcomes in the performance of all assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.
• Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale) targets through a visual work environment.
• Comply with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.

Experience/Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree in science or related area preferred
• 1 to 2 years' experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment preferred
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience

• Basic math skills
