Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Hybrid (Stamford, CT)

At Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI), we help students, travelers, and professionals around the world access the care and support they need while abroad. We're looking for a Claim & Customer Support Specialist to join our team in Stamford, CT.

This role combines attention to detail with exceptional customer service - perfect for someone who enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, and helping people every day.

What You'll Do



  • Receive and sort incoming mail 1-2 times per week; scan, upload, and organize claims and medical records in our online system.
  • Manage claims and documents submitted via mail, email, and fax to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Verify participant eligibility and coordinate with Client Services Associates to confirm coverage details.
  • Prepare and process assigned claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CISI guidelines.
  • Track returned checks, electronic payments, and address confirmations to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Redirect non-CISI claims to the appropriate parties.
  • Draft and send weekly correspondence requesting additional claim information.
  • Collaborate daily with colleagues via Microsoft Teams and SharePoint to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Provide professional, courteous support to clients, sponsors, and healthcare providers by phone and email.
  • Monitor shared inboxes and ensure timely responses to all inquiries.
  • Maintain detailed communication logs within the claims processing system.
  • Support the team with additional administrative tasks as needed.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general PC skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset for reviewing claim and eligibility information
  • Prior administrative experience (insurance experience a plus!)
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service
