Summary of the Role: Technical Lead, Software Engineering

This is a hybrid role combining senior-level development with team leadership responsibilities. The candidate will:

  • Lead development teams and projects

  • Contribute hands-on coding (~30% of the time)

  • Define high-level application designs and technical vision

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions

  • Mentor developers and broaden team capabilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Participate in architectural discussions and planning

  • Handle supervisory duties including hiring, performance management, and team development

Key Technical Skills Required
  • Core Technologies:

    • Java/JEE, Spring/Struts, Hibernate, EJB

    • HTML/CSS, JavaScript/Ajax, XML

    • Web Services (SOAP/REST)

    • IBM WebSphere Application Server & Portal

    • AngularJS (1-2 years preferred)

  • Architecture & Design:

    • High-level application design

    • Visual representation of technical solutions

    • Integration with third-party platforms

  • Leadership & Communication:

    • Leading development teams (2+ years required, 4+ preferred)

    • Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    • Ability to mentor and delegate effectively
