What to Expect
We're seeking a technically strong and versatile Electrical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of electrical systems supporting advanced R&D labs and facilities. This role combines hands-on electrical design, project execution, and safety oversight. You'll work across engineering, facilities, and R&D teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and compliant electrical infrastructure - from concept through commissioning and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop electrical systems for lab infrastructure and test equipment, including schematics, single-line diagrams, and load schedules
- Specify and select components such as transformers, panels, breakers, wiring, and protection systems
- Perform load analysis and ensure sufficient capacity for current and future lab operations
- Manage project execution from design through installation - tracking budgets, schedules, and contractor performance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align requirements, resolve design issues, and deliver on time
- Ensure all systems meet NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local code requirements
- Conduct site inspections, develop safety procedures, and drive continuous compliance improvements
- Support ongoing lab operations through troubleshooting, system optimization, and upgrade planning
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical design or facilities engineering (lab or industrial environments preferred)
- Strong understanding of power distribution, grounding, and electrical safety principles
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent tools
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and OSHA standards
- Hands-on approach with strong ownership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Expected Compensation
$118,320 - $177,480/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
