Job Details

Sets up and operates machinery and equipment used in repair and construction of injection molding tooling. Troubleshoots, repairs and conducts maintenance (As required and Preventative) on injection molding tools, fixtures and other ancillary tooling.

Analyzes and resolves maintenance related issues with injection molding tools. Determines root cause of maintenance issues and ensures that corrective actions are implemented and documented to prevent service interruption.

Liaise with internal departments for design input, fabrication and modifications to tools and dies.

Completes preventive maintenance activities for all injection molding tools, including scheduling preventive maintenance tasks, ordering required parts, performing and delegating work activities, and communicating the preventive maintenance status to various departments (i.e. Molding, Planning, Engineering).

Maintains all required documentation, including but not limited to maintenance records, machines logs, machine / equipment manuals.

Supports process validation activities, engineering tests and cost savings projects as required.

Makes required machine and equipment control adjustments to maintain proper quality and cycle efficiency. Recommends procedural changes to improve machine efficiency and operation.

Communicates effectively with engineers, leads, supervisors, machine operators and supporting departments (i.e. Purchasing, Quality and Engineering). May initiate meetings, as needed, to solve quality or tool related problems.

Complies with all local, state, federal and Haemonetics safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Follows all applicable standard operating procedures, manufacturing instructions and/or standing instructions.

Supports Molding with inserting, pulling and changing molds.

Orders and maintains spare parts inventory for injection molds.

Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum direction.

Must be willing to work other shifts or perform other duties/tasks that are of reasonable request by Management.

Provides feedback and recommendations to Management on equipment purchases for tool room expansion.

Provides training to Process Technicians on basic preventative maintenance at press or as required as part of corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinates corrective and preventive actions requiring out of the plant machining (forming) and finishing jobs on Injection mold tooling.
