Job Title: Software Engineer - II

Location: Richmond, VA (Remote)

Key Requirements:

  • Administration and Configuration:

    • Manage and configure Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI environments.
    • Ensure proper setup and maintenance of data connections, gateways, and security settings.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.


  • Solution Development and Deployment:

    • Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and develop Power Apps solutions.
    • Create and manage Power Automate workflows to automate business processes.
    • Design and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards.


  • API Integration:

    • Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST APIs.
    • Understand and interpret JSON data structures and related output errors.
    • Create custom connectors and data sources for Power Apps and Power Automate.


  • XML and JSON Handling:

    • Write and optimize XML queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
    • Ensure accurate and efficient data flow between systems.


  • User Support and Training:

    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power Platform users.
    • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to enhance user adoption.
    • Create documentation for solutions, processes, and best practices.


  • Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and manage security policies and compliance requirements for Power Platform solutions.
    • Ensure data governance and privacy standards are met.


  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay current with Power Platform updates, features, and best practices.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation using the Power Platform.
    • Participate in planning and strategy sessions for Power Platform initiatives.






Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with low-code/no-code development platforms.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems & Power Platform Pipelines.
  • Background in business analysis or process improvement.




Required Technical Skills:


  • Strong understanding of Power Apps development and configuration.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing Power Automate workflows.
  • Expertise in designing and deploying Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Proficiency with REST APIs for integrating external systems.
  • Ability to write and optimize XML queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of data sources, connectors, and integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Fundamentals in understanding and interpreting JSON data structures and related output errors.




Required Soft Skills:


  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.




Experience:


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Proven experience in administering Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dynamics 365.
