Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator.

In this role, the successful candidate will coordination and overall administrative office support for the Department of Outpatient Revenue Cycle Operations. Works with internal and external parties to organize the components needed to complete departmental projects. In conjunction with the departmental administration, develops policies and procedures, implements new processes, develops and implements reporting mechanisms, and monitors compliance to establish guidelines. Also, building, maintaining, andmanaging departmental relations.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Support: Assists the department in the project management workflow and recommends improvement if applicable to ensure appropriate cycle times and efficiency.

Project Coordination: Provides basic to moderate coordination for project activities to manager or director, head of the department that includes but is not limited to coordination of project while working/communicating with internal and external parties to organize and coordinate the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude project activities. Develops schedules, prepares, processes, and tracks project-related purchase/supplies requisitions, reimbursements, expense
reports, and related invoice payments.

Training & Support: Organizes and coordinates department trainings. Supports the development of trainings and curricula, setting annual learning calendars and engaging attendees. Delivers trainings; facilitates support groups for the department. Researches and liaises with department management, focusing on Revenue Cycle Operations Epic employee training as needed. Participates in system upgrades and application enhancement planning using subject matter to develop or revise
training curriculum.

Insurance Follow-up Project Support: Supports and assists across the teams to gather, interpret, and manage projects for Insurance Follow-up teams. Responds to standard and ad-hoc AR analyses requested by management timely. Coordinates audit activities to identify and trends, contract issues, invalid denials to maximize reimbursement, efficiently lower A/R, and speed up the revenue cycle.

Reports: Independently prepares and reviews documents and generates status/progress reports for ongoing and pending projects, which may include moderate analysis of findings. Outlines agenda, plans and prepares presentations, and composes various memos and letters. Reviews, edits, obtain appropriate approvals. Responds to routine correspondences and refer non-routine items to the relevant party.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree and/or three years of progressive supervisory experience in an academic medical center or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet competitive deadlines, delegate responsibilities, and multi-task effectively. Ability to take initiative and follow through using critical thinking skills. Exceptional command and verbal and written communication skills. Highly proficient with MS Access,
Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Epic computer software.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $80,983.47 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
