The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting a broad spectrum of HR functions and initiatives. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of HR processes, with a strong focus on onboarding, compliance, employee relations support, and HR systems data management. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a passion for providing outstanding service to employees and stakeholders.

This role offers the opportunity to work on projects across multiple areas such as benefits administration, performance management, compliance reporting, and employee engagement, while ensuring accurate record-keeping and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate the new hire onboarding process, including paperwork, orientation, and systems processing.

  • Assist with candidate pre-screening tasks, including background checks and drug screening coordination.

  • Complete and maintain Forms I-9, verify documentation, and manage I-9 compliance.

  • Support benefits enrollment and provide general guidance to employees regarding benefit plans.

  • Maintain and update employee records-both paper and electronic-with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Perform HRIS data entry and process employee transactions in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR-related matters.

  • Assist with policy administration and compliance reporting (e.g., EEOC, AAP, FAA, etc.).

  • Support the performance management process by assisting with performance review coordination and documentation.

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and documents as needed.

  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and HR programs.

  • Assist in employee relations by documenting concerns and escalating issues appropriately to HR leadership.

  • Respond to and coordinate responses for unemployment claims.

  • Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality standards, legal and regulatory compliance, and record retention policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in an HR office environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable with daily employee engagement.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service excellence.

  • Highly organized, with sharp attention to detail.

  • Solid time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic knowledge of HR principles, labor law compliance, and best practices.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems is a plus.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
