Job Description

During program:


For a Scholar to remain in the program and to keep receiving educational assistance the following criteria must be met:



  • At the beginning of each semester the scholar will submit a copy of their class schedule to Human Resources representative and to Scholar Supervisor.
  • At the end of each semester scholar will submit final grades to Human Resources representative and to Scholar Supervisor.
  • Scholar will maintain at least a 2.8 for the duration of their program.
  • Scholar will complete portions of their training guide instructed by the maintenance leader.
  • Scholar maintenance leader and supervisor will provide training while in the program.
  • Scholar must work at least 20 hours a week while school is in session. No more than 30 hours while School is out of session. Exceptions should be approved by training coordinator.
  • Scholar will need to take classes during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
  • Fall, Spring, and Summer need to be enrolled into at least 12 credit hours


Rotations:



  • Scholars will rotate between the different areas in maintenance.
  • End of Program


After completion of the program the Scholar will have obtained



  • Two Years Manufacturing experience
  • An Associate's Degree

Qualifications

In order to be considered for the scholar program the following criteria must be met:


Scholar will have at least a 2.8 GPA from their last known transcript. This can be from High School, technical school, college, or university.

If Scholar has previously enrolled in a Technical School and the GPA leaving that school is under a 2.8 GPA they will not be considered for the Scholar Program unless approved by Management.

Scholar must be in either their first or second semester at start of the program.

Scholar must be enrolled with the career and co-op office at their technical school.

Scholar must be enrolled in manufacturing related degree program such as: Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or Machine Tool Technology.
