The Impact You Will Have

This position is responsible for researching, reviewing, and resolving money sent to BCBSMN from providers, subscribers, other Blue Plans, and/or other sources. You will collaborate with numerous departments within Blue Cross, as well as third party vendors used for collections and payment integrity audits.

Your Responsibilities

  • Research and determine how money is to be applied to the claim.
  • Ability to determine if a claim is ITS, SSU, FEP, and/or possible fraud issue.
  • Ability to collaborate with other BCBSMN departments such as Treasury, COB, Membership, Government, Customer Service, and/or Provider Services.
  • Ability to work with CMS and COR to accurately post the monies received by BCBSMN.
  • Must have a working knowledge of COB types.
  • Ability to manually price a claim.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of related experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Prioritize skills in order to schedule work to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to convey messages clearly and professionally across diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed analytical skills to evaluate and determine appropriate course of action.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignment.
  • Ability to work independently and seek solutions to problems.
  • Strong knowledge and navigation skills in Microsoft 365 programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.86 - $28.63 Hourly

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
