Overview

We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician II, also referred to as our Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Specialist. A Hospital Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing non-medical equipment like HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures to ensure the hospital operates safely and efficiently. They perform routine inspections, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety codes to support patient care and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Repair & Maintenance of Equipment: repair and maintain mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and plant infrastructure-while troubleshooting issues using schematics and blueprints
  • Preventative Maintenance: regular inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns, like lubricating motors, testing generators, or checking emergency lighting
  • Facility Upkeep: patching walls, painting, installing fixtures, or even minor carpentry or electrical work
  • Safety Compliance: ensure a safe working environment by maintaining accurate equipment logs, adhering to safety standards, and driving as needed for company business


Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

Education and Work Experience

  1. Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
  2. Valid state drivers license.
  3. Minimum 2 years experience required.
  4. High school diploma or equivalent required Facility specific requirements (facility may require items listed below) Behavioral Violence Prevention training preferred
