Overview We are seeking a Unit Secretary, also referred to as a Unit Clerk, Clinical Unit Secretary or Medical Unit Secretary. A Unit Secretary provides indirect patient care by managing departmental communications, organizing records, transcribing physician orders when needed, and ensuring charts, logs, and electronic records are accurate and complete. They support the Perinatal Unit by coordinating with physicians and departments, ordering supplies, restocking rooms after transfers or discharges, and assisting nursing staff with non-clinical tasks. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
3. Proficient with medical terminology preferred
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office preferred
5.
